Tara Bohanna has claimed the Southern Saints' Best & Fairest off the back of her breakout 2021 campaign.
The 26-year-old key forward polled 94 votes across her 16 games this season – inclusive of two finals – to pull clear of the second-placed Hannah Stuart (83 votes) by the end of the count.
Crafty small forward Gabriella De Angelis rounded out the podium on 74 votes, while Alice Burke (69) and Alexandra Hynes (60) finished in the top-five.
Bohanna was an integral component to her side’s success in 2021, cementing herself as the focal point of the Saints' attack to claim club goalkicking honours (19) and finish third overall in the league's tally.
Bohanna averaged 17 disposals, seven hit-outs, five marks and a goal per game to be one of her side’s most consistent performers, with her brilliant outing against Darebin (24 disposals, two goals, eight marks) arguably her best of the season.
Ruck Alexandra Hynes received the Best Emerging Player Award during the night’s celebrations, while retiring Saint Francesca Hocking won the Sainter of the Year Award.
