Max King is a confirmed out for Thursday’s return to Marvel Stadium, with Zak Jones returning to the line-up as St Kilda meets the Western Bulldogs to kick off Round 6.

King faced a fitness test this week following a knee injury sustained in Round 5, however was withdrawn from the squad as the Saints look to square their ledger tomorrow evening.

Jones comes in for his 50th club appearance after joining the red, white and black as part of the 2019 Trade Period, accompanying Dan Butler, Mattaes Phillipou, Riley Bonner and last week's debutant Hugo Garcia on the interchange bench.

Pleasingly on the injury front, Jack Hayes and Dougal Howard are on standby as emergencies alongside Angus Hastie after completing their respective injury rehabilitation programs and making successful returns via the VFL.

Thursday's match will mark St Kilda's first home game for the season at Marvel Stadium, which has been revamped and refreshed over the off-season for the ultimate game-day experience.

The Saints and Bulldogs will contest for the Barker-Whitten Challenge Plate tomorrow night at Marvel Stadium, commencing at 7:30pm.
