The expansion builds on the existing collaboration for Holmesglen’s Diploma of Sport and Diploma of Event Management courses, with 155 students completing practical internship training at St Kilda since 2020.

“We are absolutely thrilled to elevate our partnership with Holmesglen Institute,” St Kilda Football Club CEO Carl Dilena said.

“The integration of these degrees with our already successful diploma partnership marks a major milestone for the club. This collaboration will provide students with exceptional hands-on experience and invaluable industry connections.

“We’re proud to be part of shaping the next generation of sports professionals.”

Designed for those seeking to build a career in sports business or media, Holmesglen Institute’s degrees offer a direct pathway for students to immerse themselves in the professional sporting world at the Saints.

“A tertiary pathway that combines academic learning with professional sports experience is unprecedented in Australia. We’re thrilled to continue our collaboration with St Kilda and look forward to seeing our students thrive through these enhanced opportunities.”

New and already enrolled students will gain access to unparalleled experiences in one of Australia’s most dynamic and sought after sectors. Students will have the chance to work directly alongside industry leaders in an elite sporting environment, unlocking a wealth of experiences within the broader AFL ecosystem.

Students will also engage directly with St Kilda’s senior coaching staff and executives, gaining unique exposure to the inner workings of an elite AFL environment across various administration and football operations departments.

Each year, at least four Bachelor degree students will be selected for St Kilda internships with contact hours shared between the club’s spiritual home at RSEA Park in Moorabbin and Holmesglen’s Chadstone campus.

Additionally, students will have the chance to participate in the school’s international exchange program, expanding their understanding of the global sports business and media landscape.

This exclusive pathway to build a career in the sports industry alongside St Kilda will be available to students from 2026 with enrolments open now at holmesglen.edu.au.
