St Kilda’s AFLW list is now complete, with Arianna Clarke signing ahead of the 2025 season.

Clarke was born and raised in Western Australia before moving to the Gold Coast with her family during high school, where she went on to captain the Queensland under-18 team. She was then drafted to the Brisbane Lions with pick 15 in the 2017 AFLW Draft.

After three years on the Lions’ list, Clarke stepped away from football to focus on life off the field. However, her passion for the game never faded.

“I’ve always loved playing footy, but in 2020 I needed to prioritise my career off the field. That said, my love for the game has always remained,” Clarke said.

“When the opportunity to move to Melbourne came up, I grabbed it with both hands. I never expected it would lead to another shot at AFLW.

“I’m so grateful to the Saints for this chance and I’ll do everything I can to repay the faith they’ve shown in me.”

AFLW General Manager Jessie Mulholland said the club was excited to welcome Clarke to the team.

“We’re really pleased to have our list finalised and to officially welcome Arianna and her family to the Saints,” Mulholland said.

“Arianna’s skill and professionalism were clear during her time with us as a train-on player, and we’re looking forward to seeing that continue throughout the season.”

Clarke fills the spot on the Saints’ list left vacant by the recently retired Kiera Whiley.
