ST KILDA trio Farren Ray, Beau Maister and Terry Milera have given the Saints a show of faith by agreeing to contract extensions.

The three are the latest to sign on for the club only a month after young quartet Dylan Roberton, Jack Newnes, Jimmy Webster and Seb Ross also signed on.

Ray is the most experienced of the three players, having played 97 games with the club after 75 games with the Western Bulldogs.

Originally drafted by the Bulldogs with pick four at the 2003 National Draft, Ray was traded to St Kilda at the end of 2008.

The midfielder was a part of St Kilda’s Grand Final teams in 2009 and 2010.

The 27-year-old has been one of St Kilda’s most consistent players this season, averaging 20.5 disposals over 15 games.

St Kilda’s Head of Football Chris Pelchen paid tribute to Ray.

"Farren has proven to be a versatile player and fine clubman since coming across from the Bulldogs. He has had a solid 2013, after a challenging 2012 season and has plenty left to offer," Pelchen said.

Milera has played 25 games for the Saints since arriving at the club as part of a trade with Greater Western Sydney at the end of 2011.

The exciting small forward kicked 19 goals from 15 games last year before kicking another seven from 10 games in 2013.

An ankle injury has brought a premature end to his 2013 campaign but the 25-year-old has committed to the Saints for the future.

Pelchen said Milera was a promising talent for the club.

“Terry has made a strong impact in his first two years at the club, with his pace, agility and goal sense a real feature of his game," he said.

Maister was drafted by the Saints with the 68th pick at the 2011 National Draft.

He played 23 games for West Coast after the Eagles took him with pick 25 at the 2005 Rookie List Draft.

Maister was de-listed by West Coast at the end of 2010, but after a strong season with WAFL club Claremont in 2011, he revived his AFL career with the Saints.

Maister changed his surname from Wilkes at the start of 2013.

Pelchen said the 27-year-old had shown good form this season before injuring his hamstring against his former club in round 11.

"Despite injuries, Beau has enjoyed a career best season, displaying great character and persistence and being a fine role model our younger players," Pelchen said.
