TOM Lee exhibited great improvement from his AFL debut against GWS in round three to the final game of the season.

Playing as St Kilda’s second key forward for the majority of the back half of the year, he consistently provided a strong marking target and was an accurate set-shot kick at goal.

The 22-year old booted two or more majors in six of his last eight games and after just 10 AFL matches, looks to be an exciting prospect for 2014 and beyond.

Forward-line coach Adam Kinglsey:

“Tommy came to the club and needed to get a solid foundation of fitness and strength work to compete at the required level. He did this well in the second half of the year and he certainly improved his physical make-up this season.

Tom came into the team as the second or third tall forward and had an immediate impact. He finished up with 17 goals for the season and kicked two or three in numerous games.

He’s a terrific mark, has great hands and is always willing to work on his game which holds him in good stead for the future.”
