HAWTHORN defender Josh Gibson is free to play against St Kilda on Saturday following his early guilty plea on Monday evening.

The 30-year-old received an official reprimand from the Match Review Panel for his late bump on Richmond’s Reece Conca on Sunday afternoon.

The incident, which occurred in the fourth quarter, was assessed as negligent, medium impact and high contact, and Gibson was offered a one-match ban as result. But his six-year good record and an early guilty plea reduced the sanction to a reprimand and 70.31 carryover points.

The left-footer is one of Hawthorn’s most valuable players and was named its best and fairest in 2013.
