St Kilda and Hawthorn will go head to head for the annual Blue Ribbon Cup on Saturday.

The 16^th annual Blue Ribbon Cup clash is played in memory of two Victorian Police officers, Sergeant Gary Silk, and Senior Constable Rodney Miller who were killed in the line of duty at Moorabbin in August 1998.

The Silk-Miller Memorial Medal will be presented to the player voted best on ground from each team and presented by the Hon. Kim Wells, Minister for Police and Emergency Services.

As a mark of respect for the Victoria Police officers who have been killed in the line of duty, players and on-field officials will wear reflective blue and white checkered armbands and umpires will wave specially made Blue Ribbon Foundation flags.

Supporters can donate a gold coin at the rattle tins around the ground as they come in to assist the Blue Ribbon Foundation in its work to provide new and improved emergency facilities in Victoria's public hospitals that are named in memory of fallen officers.
