St Kilda is set to welcome back a host of its most valuable players for this week’s game against the Sydney Swans.

David Armitage, Sean Dempster and Dylan Roberton are all expected to return to the team this week after missing last week’s draw with Geelong.

Jack Lonie and Jack Sinclair could also return.

Billy Longer will also be available for selection in what shapes as a genuine quandary for the Saints match committee.

With Tom Hickey in top form and Jason Holmes impressing in his debut match last week, the ruck combination is sure to be a talking point at the selection table.

The news is also good for Arryn Siposs after receiving a heavy knock while playing for Sandringham in the VFL on the weekend. Siposs was taken from the field and taken to hospital but could play this week.

“He went to hospital and was cleared of any neck damage. He’ll have his appropriate concussion with the docs but if he passes that he will train on Thursday and be available for selection,” Head Physiotherapist Andrew Wallis said on Tuesday.

Two more players have been ruled out for the season, joining Tom Lee (ankle) and Jack Billings (tibia).

Nathan Wright had surgery after injuring his finger during training while Brenton Payne’s first season on the list has come to an end thanks to a high ankle sprain.

Eli Templeton is a week away from returning from a hamstring injury.
