The momentum at St Kilda Football Club continues to gather pace with the Saints already eclipsing its 2015 membership tally (32,746) and today is expected to surge past 33,000 members (the fastest the Saints have reached this mark in club history).
The club has passed the 2015 final membership tally six months earlier than last year and comes off the back of a successful off-season period during which Saints fans signed up in record time.
In early February, the club passed the 30,000 members.
CEO Matt Finnis thanked all members saying it was exciting to see so many people supporting the club’s direction.
“We are thrilled that so many members have already committed for the 2016 season – including thousands of new members - and we encourage those fans who are yet to sign up to be part of our journey,” Finnis said.
“We have worked hard to build a united club that makes smart decisions, embraces our supporters and makes them proud - we believe we are heading in the right direction.”

Today’s milestone is another highlight in a promising off-field period for the Saints, with the announcement last week that co-Principal Partner Dare Iced Coffee had signed on for a further three years and club leader Leigh Montagna for one more year.
There's more good news to come with the Saints set to launch its news community platform on Thursday Night.
