We’re all ready to watch the Saints this year – are you?! The on-field excitement begins Thursday 16 February for the annual intra-club game at Trevor Barker Oval in Sandringham. Our off-season recruits from last October’s trade period, Nathan Brown, Koby Stevens and Jack Steele are potentials in the Saints v Saints clash. Young stars Ben Long, Josh Battle, Ed Phillips and Rowan Marshall were plucked at the National and Rookie Drafts at the end of November and are also in contention to take to the field.
After missing out on a return to finals last year by percentage, St Kilda will put the wheels in motion for the first time ahead of the 2017 Season which commences against Melbourne on Saturday 24 March at Etihad Stadium.
If you are not yet on board as a member this year, you will have the chance to sign up, purchase the best kit in town at Saints Locker and hang out with the Saints mascots, Trevor and Angelica. We’ve got your drinks covered with Dare Iced Coffee providing plenty of giveaways and if you haven’t packed dinner, the Saints Social Club are running a BBQ. Don’t forget your picnic blanket! With Pepper Money offering free face painting, this night out in Bayside is set to provide another opportunity for some Saints summer fun.
After the boys display their talent on the field, the players will have a chance to mingle, sign autographs and of course take a few selfies.
Carparking on site is limited, so try carpooling with your Saints mates or park in surrounding streets.
