St Kilda midfielder Jack Steven will remain in Perth for at least another night after puncturing his lung in Saturday night’s loss to West Coast at Domain Stadium.

GM Football Performance Jamie Cox said Saints Doctor Tim Barbour will stay with Steven until he is cleared to fly back to Melbourne.

“Jack sustained a punctured lung late in Saturday night’s game and was taken to hospital for observation,” Cox told saints.com.au.

“Due to the nature of the injury, Jack is unable to fly for the next day or two and will remain in Perth with club doctor Tim Barbour before flying back as soon as he is medically cleared.”

Steven has already been ruled out of the clash with Brisbane at Etihad Stadium next Sunday.
