St Kilda Football Club has secured the services of highly regarded assistant coach Henry Playfair, following seven years with the Sydney Swans under John Longmire.

The former Swans and Geelong player began his coaching career in 2011 where he led the Swans to the 2011 NEAFL Grand Final, before becoming forward line coach in 2012, the year Sydney won the AFL premiership.

General Manager of Football Performance Jamie Cox said Playfair would be a valuable addition to the St Kilda football department.

“Henry is an extremely experienced assistant coach who is highly regarded and we are thrilled to have him join the Saints,” Cox said.

“He has been a key part in a successful era at the Swans and we look forward to welcoming him to the Club ahead of the pre-season.”
