North Melbourne have been impressive in their first season in the VFL and sit ninth on the ladder at 4-3.

Players to watch:

SANDRINGHAM

David Armitage

Armitage was exemplary in Sandringham’s big win over Werribee last week. The experienced Saint amassed 39 disposals, five inside 50s and eight marks, while his 10 tackles reflected the midfield bull’s trademark aggression.

Josh Battle

The second-year spearhead showed plenty as the Zebras’ key forward in attack, finishing with a three-goal haul against Werribee. The 19-year-old will look to keep building on this form as he pushes for senior selection.

NORTH MELBOURNE

Nick Larkey

A five-goal haul from the second-year ‘Roo was a big factor in their win against Box Hill, and either Darragh Joyce or Hugh Goddard are likely to line up on Larkey.

Brayden Preuss

Preuss dominated with 48 hit-outs against Box Hill and will hope to replicate that performance against Sandringham. The 206cm big man should prove be an excellent test for St Kilda ruckman Billy Longer.
