Josh Battle will be sidelined for two-three weeks after scans on Monday revealed a fractured left eye socket.

Battle reported soreness around his eye after Sunday’s victory over Melbourne and was sent for scans as a precaution.

In good news, the Saints back-six could be bolstered by the return of Jimmy Webster.

Head Physiotherapist Andrew Wallis confirmed that Webster will be available for selection after successfully recovering from a groin injury. 

Darren Minchington tweaked his hip flexor in the VFL and will miss two weeks, while Nathan Brown is expected to miss three weeks after injuring his hamstring in Sunday's win over the Demons.

Blake Acres will also make his return from injury, set to play restricted minutes for Sandringham in the VFL. 

Ben Long (foot) is running well and expected to return in four weeks, while Dylan Roberton (heart) has begun to get some fitness back, spending time on the track and the bike. 


Koby Stevens (concussion) will continue to be assessed.
