St Kilda Football Club has informed Maverick Weller that he will not be offered a contract for the 2019 season.

Weller played 89 games in the red, white and black after crossing from the Gold Coast Suns, where he had played 32 games, at the end of 2013.

The 26-year-old played 13 games in 2018, in what was an injury-interrupted year.

Saints General Manager of Football Simon Lethlean thanked Weller for his contributions to the club during his tenure and wished him all the best in the future.

“Mav was the kind of player who gave everything he had in every game he played, showing leadership both on and off the field,” Lethlean said.

“On behalf of the whole club, I thank Mav for his service and wish him all the best for his future endeavours.”
