19-year-old Jimmy Webster and defender James Gwilt have been included for Monday night's clash against Carlton.

Forward Terry Milera and ruckman Tom Hickey have also been recalled to the team.

Webster's selection follows a consistent start to the season for the Sandringham Zebras, averaging 18 disposals per game and impressing with his excellent decision making and penetrating left boot.

St Kilda head coach Scott Watters told Saints.com.au last week that Webster "is a great competitor," and he is "a left footer with great finishing skills who is an exciting prospect for the club."

Meanwhile, Gwilt returns after a week in the VFL, and a month on the sidelines with a knee injury he sustained in round one.

Making way is Sam Gilbert (knee) and Justin Koschitzke (suspended), as well as Josh Saunders and Brodie Murdoch, the latter two named as emergencies along with Farren Ray.

Webster's selection completes a tumultuous week for the teenager.

On Friday he was named as an emergency for the Saints game against Collingwood, before being told in the warm-up that his family home in Tasmania had burnt down.

He flew home the following day, before arriving back in Seaford mid-week.

Webster is St Kilda's fifth debutant this season.
