Livewire Jack Lonie is back in the hunt for senior selection after a three-goal haul for Sandringham.

The dynamic Saint suffered a hyperextended knee in Round 6 against Adelaide, but his professionalism in recovery has seen him surge back onto the selectors' radar.

Prior to the Crows clash, Lonie had booted 18 goals in 11 games, and the 22-year-old will be looking to recapture that career-best form when his opportunity comes.

Veteran Nathan Brown is similarly banging down the door for a senior spot, the big-bodied backman a suitable option to negate Geelong's likely inclusion in Esava Ratugolea.

At 195cm, Brown's height and physical presence could be used to great effect alongside fellow big man Jake Carlisle, especially given Josh Battle's recent injury.

Swingman Jonathon Marsh looms as another tall option down back, after the 23-year-old battled manfully for an undersized Sandringham outfit against North Melbourne to pick up 18 disposals at 100% efficiency and 10 marks.

Left-footer Brandon White also toiled away for the Zebras as they were continually battered by North offensives, his 23 disposals and influence off half-back helping to stem the flow of Kangaroos goals.

The Saints travel around the bay to face Geelong at 7.25pm on Saturday night at Kardinia Park.
