Backline coach Henry Playfair has tendered his resignation effective immediately.

The 36-year-old has accepted a role at the Carlton Football Club after two seasons in the red, white and black.

“We’re really happy for Henry and wish him the best for this new chapter in his coaching career,” General Manager of Football Simon Lethlean said.

“He’s been a valuable asset to our club over the past few years and he, Allie, Amelia and Arlo will always be welcome at the Saints.”

Lethlean said the full St Kilda coaching panel would be finalised in the coming days.

“With a new senior coach, it’s a really good opportunity for us to build a strong structure around Brett.

“We look forward to sharing the news with our fans and members once the process, structure and new appointments have been completed.”
