Pending final medical tick-off later this week, Jack Steele will be available for selection to face off against Carlton on Sunday.
The 27-year-old has missed the past three weeks recovering from a broken collarbone.
Steele could be joined in the senior side by fellow leader, Tim Membrey, who successfully returned from a knee injury via the VFL last week.
Meanwhile, Jack Billings and Isaac Keeler could both potentially line up for Sandringham this week should they get through training.
“It’s pleasing to finally be welcoming some players back from injury,” Acting General Manager of Football David Misson said.
“Steeley is the heartbeat of our team and I know that the boys will be very glad to have him back, should he pass all his requirements this week.
“Similarly it’s great to see Jack and Isaac, who have both had lengthy stints on the sidelines, closing in on their returns.”
New dad Zak Jones is also nearing a return to play, with the midfielder expected to be in the frame within the next fortnight.
