Initial scans have cleared Max King of damage to his ACL after the young forward landed awkwardly in the first quarter of Sunday’s VFL clash.

The highly talented draftee limped from the field late in the quarter and was subsequently assessed by club doctors before undergoing scans on Sunday afternoon.

General Manager of Football Simon Lethlean said the club would know more in the coming days.

“Max will be further assessed tomorrow but thankfully scans show the graft on his reconstructed knee remains intact,” he said.

“Hopefully its a minor setback which is a positive result for both Max and the club.”
