The reigning best-and-fairest for the Southern Saints was a reliable force down back in 2020, often getting the Saints out of danger through her combination of grit and clean kicking.
Lucas-Rodd led St Kilda for intercepts and boasted the best disposal efficiency of the 30-woman squad, and ahead of the Saints’ inaugural season was also voted into the club’s extended leadership group.
The tenacious defender hasn’t just been a role model on the field.
Ahead of St Kilda’s inaugural AFLW Pride Game, the 24-year-old openly spoke about discovering who she was in her younger years and how football was the perfect outlet to express who she was.
Now as one of the Saints’ most integral players, she’s helping to make an impact as a role model for the club and the community to promote equality, make change and inspire others to do the same.
