Zak Jones found a new home at RSEA Park following St Kilda’s groundbreaking 2019 trade period, adding grunt and much-needed speed to the Saints’ on-ball brigade.
A dominant display in the 2020 season restart showed Jones at his peak, with a 29-disposal haul playing a major role in the Saints' first win of the year.
The former Swan was sidelined in Round 4 with hamstring tightness, but returned for Round 6 to string together back-to-back influential performances on the inside.
Jones was among the Saints' best against his former side in Round 9, chalking up 21 disposals, six clearances and a goal to confirm the club's first triumph against the Swans in eight years.
Three games later, the 25-year-old played his 100th career match against Essendon, adding to the celebrations with a perfect 10-vote game from the AFL Coaches' Association.
Jones was originally selected by Sydney with pick No. 15 in the 2013 National Draft, before finding new residency at RSEA Park at the end of 2019.
