St Kilda can confirm changes to its AFLW list, with Rebecca Ott, Hannah Stuart, Nat Plane and Charlotte Simpson advised they will not be offered contracts for the 2026 season.
Former professional basketballer Rebecca Ott arrived at Moorabbin as an injury replacement just days before the start of the 2021 season. After several injury-interrupted years, the 31-year-old put together a strong 2025 campaign in a shift to the ruck before a partial Achilles tear ended her season. She departs the club after six seasons and 30 AFLW games in red, white and black.
Homegrown talent Hannah Stuart joined the club ahead of Season Seven (2022) after being drafted from the Southern Saints program. Playing 26 games across four seasons, the versatile team player embraced a range of roles and consistently stepped up wherever the team needed her.
Inaugural AFLW player Nat Plane began her career at Carlton, where she established herself as a reliable half-back across the league’s first seven seasons. She moved to Moorabbin in 2023, quickly stepping into a leadership position and bringing experience, versatility and trademark contest pressure to the program. The proud Kamilaroi woman leaves after 21 games for St Kilda.
Charlotte Simpson, the club’s third father-daughter selection, joined the Saints via the 2023 AFLW Draft. The 21-year-old played 18 games across two seasons, building a reputation as a clearance winner who could absorb pressure and compete strongly through the midfield.
“Bec, Hannah, Nat and Charlotte have each left their mark on our club as consistent and valued contributors over the last few years,” GM AFLW Jessie Mulholland said.
“They are a well-loved group across the program, and their presence will be missed both on and off the field.
“We wish all four players the very best for their future careers and thank them for everything they have given to the red, white and black. They will always be welcome at St Kilda.”
