Representatives from St Kilda headed to Fiji for the 2025 edition of the Oceania Cup, an under-16s competition pitting the best of the Pacific against each other in a two-day tournament.

In collaboration with Fiji, the Saints supported the three competing nations in Fiji, Papua New Guinea and Nauru and assisted in their coaching, skill development and on-field education.

In addition to their work on the field, St Kilda presented awards and giveaways to the competing nations of teenagers from across the Pacific.

"The community in Fiji has been hungry for an event like this," Goy Lok, Community Participation Lead at the Saints, said.

"Anything an AFL club can do to add high-performance practices to help these clubs develop, it's a massive step in the right direction.

"That's why we're here."

Simon Dalrymple, Talent Identification and Player Movement Manager at St Kilda, along with his two sons Josh and Jai, were also on hand in Fiji overlooking the incredible talent throughout the nation.

"The Fijians just showed great passion and enthusiasm for the game," Dalrymple said.

"They obviously had plenty to learn as the sport continues to grow overseas but they were very coachable and adapted well to the conditions and coaching that was on offer."

The recruiting team, led by Dalrymple, helped select the best participants to represent Oceania in Australia in 2026.
