Liam Ryan is in doubt to play this weekend after suffering a significant corked hip in the second quarter of the AFL side's win over West Coast.
The forward was admitted to hospital late on Sunday night for precautionary observation. He’s since been discharged with no major concerns.
“Liam was discharged this morning and has been at home resting with his family,” GM of Football, Lenny Hayes said.
“He received a pretty significant knock to the hip, but we’ll give him every opportunity to play this weekend pending his recovery.”
Hunter Clark is also under an injury cloud after suffering a knock to his knee in the first quarter of Sunday’s game.
The No. 11 was able to play out the remainder of the match but is currently undergoing further consultation with the medical team after presenting with swelling the next day.
Emerging talents, Angus Hastie and Eamonn Armstrong both reported delayed concussion symptoms after the VFL side's clash with the Suns and have entered protocols following their assessments.
In welcome news, rookie Charlie Banfield will be a test to play after recovering from a shoulder injury suffered in Round 1 of the VFL against the Giants.
“Charlie has been really diligent in his rehab and we’re happy to see him put his hand up to return this weekend.”
Isaac Keeler (hamstring) also continues to progress well through his rehabilitation and return-to-play timeline.
Additionally, Max King, Ryan Byrnes, Tobie Travaglia and Anthony Caminiti all made successful returns over the weekend.
