St Kilda Football Club congratulates two-time Coleman Medallist and club great Fraser Gehrig, who this year becomes the second of four players to be inducted into the St Kilda Hall of Fame.

The man affectionally known as "The G-Train" is arguably the most famous cult figure in St Kilda history, with his flowing mullet and massive frame a staple of the 2000's Saints.

Brendan Fevola explains his shock move to full-back to line up on his great mate Fraser Gehrig in 2004.

Not just famous for his unique appearance, Gehrig is one of the best goalkickers to have graced the AFL, with 549 goals from 260 games across West Coast and St Kilda.

Gehrig crossed the 10-goal in a game threshold twice in his career, and in 2004 hit the magical 100 goals in a season milestone, becoming one of just 28 players in V/AFL history to do so.

Gehrig announced his retirement in 2007, playing what he thought would be his final game against the Tigers at the MCG. Incredibly, he made a stunning return to the Saints through the National Draft, and played five games in 2008 to finish his career.

Fraser Gehrig starred in what everyone thought was his last game against Richmond in 2007, before his shock decision to return ahead of the 2008 season.

Not just a bustling key forward, Gehrig claimed a runner-up position in the Trevor Barker Award in his first season at the Saints playing down the opposite end, at full-back.

To this day, Gehrig holds the bench press record at the Saints, and is widely regarded as one of the strongest players in the history of the competition.

Gehrig's induction comes after it was announced that Nick Riewoldt would also enter the St Kilda Hall of Fame, with the two forwards playing for eight seasons together between 2001 and 2008.
