The Saints could welcome a couple of fresh faces into the side this weekend, with untried midfielder Carys D’Addario and Round 1 debutant Abby Hobson back in the selection frame.
The young pair will be required to pass fitness tests during the team’s main training session this week to put their hands up for selection.
Meanwhile, the Saints will be without young forward Amber Clarke for the long term after scans confirmed the extent of the ankle injury she sustained in Saturday’s loss to Geelong.
Clarke was ruled out of the game during the third quarter, with scans later revealing significant ligament damage.
“It’s a really disappointing result for Amber, who had another great pre-season under her belt and showed plenty of promise across the first two games of the season,” GM of AFLW Jessie Mulholland said.
“We know she’ll approach this period of rehab with the same diligence and professionalism she brings to her training, and whilst this is a long-term injury, we’re hopeful we may see Amber playing football again this year.”
