Last week:

Williamstown was a class above Sandringham at Burbank Oval last Sunday, the home side victorious by 56 points in windy conditions.

Comparatively, the Northern Blues battled through a hard fought contest going down to Port Melbourne by 23 points.

Players to watch:

Sandringham – Tom Lee

Lee has become a key player in the Zebras’ spine, often taking the opposition’s best key forward and holding his own. Once only known as a forward, he has added the key defensive post to his armoury and looks set for a duel with Carlton’s Levi Casboult on Sunday. Should Lee shut him down, that will go a long way to the home side winning its second game of the season.

Northern Blues - Robbie Warnock

Warnock was a key player in the Blues’ admirable loss last week, amassing 56 hit outs and 21 disposals. The Carlton-listed ruckman boasts 86 AFL games and if he repeats a dominant performance on Sunday, it will go a long way to a Blues’ win.

Conditions:

Trevor Barker Beach Oval is long but has plenty of space on the wings, which can be used to the winning side’s advantage. The weather forecast looks promising, a sunny day and a top of 19 degrees.
