Davoren joins the Saints from the Western Bulldogs FC where he was the Head of Physical Conditioning for the past four years.??
Before moving into AFL football, Davoren spent eight years as the Head Coach of the Australian Triathlon Team and has an extensive background in elite sports performance.??
Revered by his peers, the appointment of Bill Davoren is part of a restructure of St Kilda’s High Performance Department.
“Bill’s appointment is a very significant one within our football department,” said Saints’ senior coach Scott Watters.??
“His considerable experience in managing elite athletes, combined with his knowledge of altitude training principles, will further enhance the training environment for our playing group.”
“With further additions to our sports science department about to be announced, the technical expertise in our program will increase from last season,” concluded Watters.
