The fans have spoken, and as voted by you, Max King is this week’s Dare Iced Coffee Sainter of the Round.

A career-best five-goal performance from the No. 12 was instrumental in St Kilda’s thrilling win over West Coast, with an additional 10 score involvements and four marks capping off his prolific evening.

King burst onto the scene with three goals in the opening quarter, before piecing together a threatening third term as Brett Ratten’s men set the stage for a dramatic comeback.

The 20-year-old looked incredibly dangerous inside the arc alongside Dan Butler, registering three shots on goal in third quarter alone to help ignite the Saints’ spark.

A deft sidestep and skilful pick-up through a pack of Eagles almost resulted in a potential Goal of the Year contender, before the key forward chimed in during the final term to add to his side’s run of eight unanswered goals.

Two votes go to Jack Steele, who paved the way for the midfield group through his relentless pressure around the ball.

The skipper finished off the night with 33 disposals (17 contested), seven inside-50s and a match-sealing goal that brought waves of cheers through the Marvel Stadium crowd.

Alongside Zak Jones, Brad Crouch and Jack Bytel (a combined 27 clearances), Steele’s hunt around the ball saw the Saints outmuscle their way on top of the clearances 45-30.

Brad Crouch rounds out this week’s voting following his impressive performance on the inside.

In just his second match in the red, white and black, the No. 5 laid a game-high of 12 tackles to go along with his 26 disposals (15 contested) and six clearances.

Crouch recorded nine tackles in the opening half before accumulating 10 final-quarter touches as the Saints stormed home.
