Armed with explosive pace and a willingness to take the game on, mature-age recruit Nicholas Hind delighted Saints fans in the back half of Season 2019.

The Clunes native made his debut in Townsville the week after being flown over to China as a last-minute emergency, lining up for every game following the bye to put 11 goals to his name.

With the Saints’ small forward stocks given a boost in 2020 with the inclusion of Dan Butler and the return of Dean Kent from injury, Hind still managed to find a spot in the line-up following the season restart.

Hind spent time in the club’s scratch matches after two games at senior level, with a series of consistent performances up forward and through the midfield resulting in a return ahead of Round 8.

The livewire speedster was at his most impressive against Sydney, booting three eye-catching goals and playing a pivotal role in sparking St Kilda to its 53-point Pride Game victory at the Gabba.

Hind was selected by St Kilda with pick No. 54 in the 2018 National Draft.
