Series of hamstring injuries and niggles curtailed Dan Hannebery to just five games last year, but what the triple All-Australian showed while far from full fitness was promising for the St Kilda faithful.
A foot injury incurred in the off-season put a Round 1 berth in doubt for the luckless midfielder, but solid performances through the pre-season confirmed a senior spot weeks later.
Unhampered and nearing peak fitness, Hannebery has been strong in the Saints' contested plays and is on track to grow his influence as the season progresses.
Hannebery was originally selected by Sydney with pick No. 30 in the 2008 National Draft, before heading back to his native Victoria to be with St Kilda at the end of the 2018 season.
