AFLW | Cat Phillips post-match
Cat Phillips on our round 1 loss to Western Bulldogs.
The former Demon joined St Kilda’s ranks prior to its maiden season at the elite level, making history after being inducted as co-captain of the club alongside Kate Shierlaw and Rhi Watt.
In-house, the Ultimate Frisbee champion was highly regarded for her elite professionalism and workhorse-like ethic on the training track.
Combined with her leadership and experience, Phillips filled the role as a leader of the club’s standards, pushing the young group to reach their best.
The hardworking Saint averaged a career-high 12 disposals through the midfield and across half-back in Season 2020, with her output never dipping across her six games for the year.
Phillips was again elected as co-captain of the club heading into Season 2021 alongside Rhi Watt, Kate Shierlaw and new inclusion Hannah Priest.
