Classy, impactful and clinical, Georgia Patrikios took impressive strides forward off the back of her glittering debut season.
The two-time Best & Fairest pieced together a dazzling follow-up campaign at the elite level, building upon her well-established midfield prowess, class through congestion and silky skills to chart among her side’s best week after week.
Patrikios averaged 24 disposals per game – up from 16 in her debut season – to lead her side’s young midfield, and also set a new club record for most touches in a game (30) in the final match of the year against West Coast.
The No. 21 finished the year on top of the pile for her St Kilda’s clearances, metres gained and disposals numbers for the second year running, capping off the year with another string of league-wide accolades.
By season's end, Patrikios earned her second Best & Fairest, was named in the AFLW Team of the Year, All-Australian and AFL Players’ Association 22Under22 squads and finished in the top-10 of the AFL Coaches’ Association AFLW Champion Player of the Year, charting as the youngest player on the esteemed list.
Patrikios was selected with pick No. 5 at the 2019 AFL Women's Draft.
