Cometh the moment, cometh the G-Train.
With the Saints down by a point in the final few minutes of their clash with Melbourne at RSEA Park, a Caitlin Greiser missile from outside 50 brought the house down and delivered the red, white and black its memorable maiden win.
The iconic scene has been woven into Moorabbin’s rich tapestry, but it wasn’t the only shining moment in the key forward’s debut season.
Greiser secured a NAB Rising Star nomination in Round 3, before taking out the league goalkicking award (10 goals) and earning selection in the 2020 All-Australian side.
The former soccer star’s thumping kick, incredible hands and status as a hero of Moorabbin earned her widespread praise, but just as importantly, cemented her as a pivotal piece of the Saints’ future successes.
Greiser bagged multiple goals on four occasions, with a powerful three-goal display against Richmond capping off her sensational year.
In August, the young Saint was a joint-winner of St Kilda's inaugural Best & Fairest alongside Olivia Vesely, Rosie Dillon and Rosie Dillon.
