The hardened defender was a consistent and steadying influence across half-back, utilising her composure and vision to help springboard the red, white and black into attack.
Gritty in the clinches but also balanced out beautifully by her precise use, the Mildura native cemented herself as one of the Saints’ most reliable players. Her consistency also saw her chart second for St Kilda’s total marks and third for intercept possessions.
In 2021, Priest was voted in by her peers as co-captain of the club alongside inaugural leaders Rhi Watt, Cat Phillips and Kate Shierlaw.
The former state-level netballer had only played two years of football before being drafted by the Saints with pick No. 41 in the 2019 AFL Women’s Draft.
