St Kilda has brought in two new faces, along with first-round draftee Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera, as it prepares to head west to take on Fremantle at Optus Stadium.

Former Port Adelaide backman Jarrod Lienert will make his first on-field appearance for the club after signing on as a rookie during the pre-season Supplemental Selection Period, while Darragh Joyce returns to the senior side for the first time since Round 22 of last season.

Joyce, originally not named in the 26-man squad, replaces co-vice captain Dougal Howard (AFL Health and Safety Protocols) for Sunday's match, while Dean Kent and Mitch Owens have been omitted.

Meanwhile, Wanganeen-Milera will form part of the Saints' starting 22 after making his debut last week as the unused medical sub.

Cooper Sharman, Tom HighmoreTom Campbell and Ben Long have been named as emergencies and will all travel interstate.

Veteran ruckman Paddy Ryder will make his senior return via the VFL this weekend, while Jack Billings (hamstring) and Hunter Clark (shoulder) are still a few weeks away from competitive footy.

St Kilda will be looking to bounce back with a win against Fremantle at Optus Stadium this Sunday, with the game to kick off at 3:20pm AWST (6:20pm AEDT).
