Georgia Patrikios has returned to St Kilda following changes to the AFL’s vaccination mandate earlier this week.

Patrikios took time away from the game following the introduction of the mandate, resulting in her missing the first 2022 AFLW Season.

“We’re really looking forward to having Georgia back training with her teammates and preparing for the season ahead,” Head of AFLW Tessie McManus.

“She’s a very talented player and a great person, so everyone in the program is really excited to have Georgia back inside the four walls doing what she loves again.”

All-Australian Patrikios, who has twice won the club’s best and fairest award (2020 and 2021), said she was ready to go.

“I’m very excited to be back at RSEA Park,” Patrikios said.

“I’m incredibly thankful for the loyalty the club has shown me over the past 18 months.

“All I want to do now is train hard alongside my teammates and run out there with the girls next season.”

The Saints kick off AFLW Season Seven on Saturday 27 August against Sydney at North Sydney Oval.
