Paddy Ryder is set for a stint on the sidelines, following an injury to his calf.

The 34-year-old was subbed out of the Saints’ game against the Bulldogs on Friday night.

Scans have since revealed the extent of the damage, which is set to bench the veteran ruckman for 4-6 weeks.

He will be joined by Dan McKenzie, who is battling a calf injury of his own.

The wingman was set to return to the senior side last week after exiting concussion protocols, however left the track on Tuesday with a calf complaint, with scans uncovering a new strain for the 26-year-old.

Hunter Clark is in the frame for a return to footy, while Dougal Howard continues to make strong progress following knee tendon surgery.
