J'Noemi Anderson will return to the line-up in time for AFLW Indigenous Round as the Saints look to continue its winning run over GWS.

Anderson, from Warumungu Country, comes in as one of four changes for Saturday, joining the recalled Simone Nalder and Beth Pinchin, alongside Nicola Xenos after serving her one-game suspension for rough conduct.

Saturday's game will be Pinchin's first since St Kilda's opening round encounter against North Melbourne, while Anderson has missed the past three weeks recovering from concussion.

Steph Chiocci (injured), Maddie Boyd, Erin McKinnon and Natalie Plane (all omitted) make way for the incoming quartet, with Boyd joining Deanna Jolliffe and Caitlin Matthews as emergencies.

As part of the Indigenous Round celebrations, St Kilda will wear its AFLW Indigenous Guernsey over the next fortnight against GWS and Walyalup (Fremantle).

Created in commemoration of the club’s Ganbu marnang n’uther boolong –  the Boonwurrung translation of '150th year' – and those who have contributed to its story, the guernsey represents the yawa, or journey, of the club and its First Nations players and their families.

Designed by Indigenous artist Jade Kennedy of the Noongar Nation (Wadjak, Willman, Kaartdijin & Bibulman), the AFLW-specific guernsey is a clash variant of the jumper first worn by St Kilda’s AFL side as part of this year’s Sir Doug Nicholls Round and NAIDOC Week celebrations.

The Saints and Giants will come together on the land of the Kulin Nation this Saturday afternoon, with the opening bounce at RSEA Park set for 1:05pm.
