St Kilda has finalised its 23-man squad to face the Blues on Friday for Spud's Game at the MCG.

The Saints have been given a huge boost, with Mattaes Phillipou once again named for his first game of the season.

The young gun looks to make his return to the side after recovering from a stress fracture in his femur suffered in the preseason.

Phillipou was initially named to make his return last week, but suffered a corky in the side's main training session that saw him miss, with the club giving him all the way to the game to prove his fitness.

Tobie Travaglia makes way from the squad after being an unused substitute against the Dockers, with Zak Jones, Harry Boyd and Angus McLennan named as emergencies.

The team's starting substitute will be named an hour before the first bounce.
