Moorabbin Airport has deepened its commitment to both the St Kilda Football Club and the local community, with the Club today announcing the Airport as its official Community Major Partner.

Since 2019, Moorabbin Airport - through the Goodman Foundation - has partnered with the club, supporting a range of initiatives.

This expanded partnership will now bring all the Saints’ academy, education and community programs under one unified banner.

It will allow the club to broaden its program offerings, reach more people across Melbourne’s south and explore new initiatives with a greater focus on societal issues and community awareness.

“We’re incredibly proud to extend our partnership with Moorabbin Airport and the Goodman Foundation,” said St Kilda Chief Executive Officer, Carl Dilena.

This renewed commitment will enable us to build on our community programs and provide even more opportunities for locals to engage with the club through expanded initiatives.

“We’ve thoroughly enjoyed working with the Moorabbin Airport team over the past six years, and we’re excited about what’s to come.”

St Kilda’s community programs support young people from diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds across Melbourne’s southern suburbs.

The various programs can cater to children as young as 5 years old right up to young adults, and cover topics including healthy masculinity, mental health and gender equality.

Football specific programs also look to remove any potential barrier for talent pathways, making football accessible to the whole community.

To date, the programs have engaged and supported more than 20,000 young people aged 5–18 through community football and education programs. So far in 2025, St Kilda has delivered community programs to more than 5,300 young people in the local community.

Last week, the club, along with guests from Moorabbin Airport and the Goodman Foundation, welcomed the Moorabbin Airport scholarship recipients for the 2025 program. The scholarship program is an off-field initiative designed to support young First Nations and multicultural participants from the southern region on their community sporting journey.

Moorabbin Airport Chief Executive Officer, Travis Brown, said the partnership reflects the Airport’s broader commitment to achieving positive outcomes for the community.

“Through dynamic partnerships such as the one with St Kilda Football Club, Moorabbin Airport and the Goodman Foundation aim to accelerate tangible solutions that strengthen communities and create long-term positive change,” Mr Brown said.

“We look forward to seeing the impact our support has on the Saints’ academy, education and community programs.”
