St Kilda has today announced two list changes, confirming Angus McLennan and Harry Boyd will not be offered contracts for the 2026 season.

McLennan was recruited as a Category B Rookie from St Kilda’s Next Generation Academy in 2022, having overcome injuries in his draft year. He played for both the Sandringham Dragons in the NAB League and the Sandringham Zebras in the VFL before earning a place on the Saints’ list.

The 21-year-old made his senior debut in Round 21 last year under unique circumstances, learning only hours before the match that he would be pulling on the jumper. He went on to play two more games at senior level, finishing his time at the club with a reputation as a hard-working and reliable teammate.

2024 Magarey Medallist Harry Boyd was the final addition to St Kilda’s 2025 list, signing as part of the Supplemental Selection Period. The decorated state-league ruckman made his AFL debut in Round 1 before delivering a strong season with Sandringham, where his work ethic and presence bolstered the Saints’ ruck stocks behind the scenes.

“We thank Angus and Harry for everything they have given to this club in their time as St Kilda players,” EGM Football David Misson said.

“We are proud to have had Angus involved with our football program since his teenage years through our Academy. The resilience and professionalism he displayed across three seasons on our list will hold him in good stead for whatever comes next, both on and off the field.

“Harry joined us just before the start of this season and made an immediate impact. He is an incredibly warm and positive person who never hesitated to help those around him, even housing several of our first-year players just days after moving from South Australia.

“We wish both Angus and Harry, along with their families, all the best for the next chapters of their lives. They will always be welcome at St Kilda.”
