STAR onballer Eliza West has bounced back to form immediately, leading Hawthorn to a 23-point win over St Kilda.
The Saints had been held to 0.3, one point above their lowest score, before Tyanna Smith and Molly McDonald made the most of a blustery wind and kicked the last two goals of the match.
The Saints started well enough, kicking against the strong breeze and hanging tight with Hawthorn. It was a scrappy start, with only two behinds apiece in the first quarter.
St Kilda's Charlotte Simpson went off in the first term with a facial injury, while Hawks defender Grace Baba played out the game with her right knee strapped after she was hurt in the third quarter.
Smith deserved her goal, having racked up 11 tackles and eight clearances on a dirty night for the Saints.
