St Kilda has completed a trade with Geelong, with defender Nicola Stevens concluding her time in the red, white and black after four seasons and 43 games.

The 32-year-old joins the Cats along with the Saints' 2026 third-round pick in exchange for Geelong’s 2026 second-round selection.

The former Pie-turned-Blue joined the Saints during the 2022 mid-year Sign and Trade Period, bringing her experience, composure and consistency as the club continued to build its AFLW program.

“Nicola has been an important part of the playing group throughout her time at the club,” GM AFLW Jessie Mulholland said.

“The leadership and influence she’s brought to this squad has been invaluable, and we thank Nicola for everything she has contributed over the past four years.

“An inaugural AFLW player who has already forged an impressive career, we wish Nicola, her partner Elise and their son Otis all the very best for the next chapter.”

In addition to retaining the club's 2026 second-round pick, St Kilda now also holds both Essendon's and Geelong’s 2026 second-round selections.

The Saints hold picks 24, 31 and 42 ahead of the Telstra AFL Draft on Monday 15 December.
