The Saints will look to welcome an injection of key position players back into the side this week, with four players a test to return.

Angus Hastie (concussion), Eamonn Armstrong (concussion), Isaac Keeler (hamstring) and Liam Ryan (hip cork) will continue to be monitored across the week, with the quartet required to get through main training later in the week.

Meanwhile, Hunter Clark has undergone an arthroscopic procedure on his knee after experiencing swelling following the Saints’ Round 7 win over West Coast.

The midfielder is expected to spend the medium term on the sidelines, with a clearer timeline to be determined following the early stages of his post-surgery recovery.

“This is obviously a disappointing setback for Hunter, who has put in a mountain of work across the start of the season to return to the side,” General Manager of Football Lenny Hayes said.

“Hunter is no stranger to hard work and commitment to getting his body right. We believe this procedure will set him up well to tackle the remainder of the season once he’s back.”

As reported by the club on Sunday, Jack Higgins and Paddy Dow will be unavailable this weekend after entering concussion protocols, while Max King and Dan Butler will miss respective timeframes with hamstring injuries sustained on the weekend.
