The St Kilda Football Club has informed Isaac Keeler, Paddy Dow, and Patrick Said that they will not be offered contracts for the 2027 season.
Keeler, Dow and Said each contributed to the club through its AFL and VFL programs during their time at St Kilda.
Isaac Keeler was drafted to the St Kilda Football Club from North Adelaide at pick 44 in the 2022 AFL National Draft.
His first two seasons on the list were spent developing at VFL level, before making his debut in round 3, 2025 during a victory against Geelong. Keeler featured in 11 games across 2025 and two in 2026, taking his total games in the red, white and black to 13.
Paddy Dow made the move to Moorabbin during the 2023 AFL Trade Period following a four-club trade which sent Nick Coffield to the Western Bulldogs and an exchange of later draft picks. Dow played ten games for the Saints during his first season at RSEA Park in 2024, adding to the 73 games he played for Carlton between 2018 and 2023.
His continuity was limited over the past two seasons due to knee and collarbone injuries, restricting him to 17 VFL games. Despite this, Dow continued to produce consistent form, averaging 26 disposals for the Saints VFL side this year.
Patrick Said arrived at the Saints after being drafted from the Calder Cannons at pick 60 in the 2024 National Draft. Said was an asset predominantly across half forward at VFL level, where he played 25 games and kicked 20 goals for St Kilda and Sandringham over the past two seasons.
St Kilda General Manager of Football Lenny Hayes said farewelling members of the playing group was one of the most difficult times of the season.
“Isaac, Paddy and Patrick are popular members of our playing group, with each making a valued contribution to our football club.
"The players, coaches and staff at the Saints will miss them, and we wish them and their families every success for the future."
The club has now officially made four list changes, following Dougal Howard’s retirement in round 24.
St Kilda will continue to assess the composition of its playing list ahead of the AFL Trade Period and National Draft, with any further list changes to be communicated in due course.
