Doulton Langlands will make his long-awaited debut for St Kilda in Sunday’s clash with the Western Bulldogs.

The rookie-listed Saint was given his opportunity in the red, white and black following an impressive run of form for Sandringham.

Ben Long will not feature this weekend, taking personal leave following the passing of his grandfather, Jack Long Sr.

Long flew out to Darwin to be with family, but will be available for next week's match against Melbourne.

Langlands isn’t the only change for the Saints, with Brett Ratten assuming the role of caretaker coach following the resignation of Alan Richardson on Tuesday.

Darragh Joyce and Sam Rowe join the extended bench after impressive outings for Sandringham last weekend, joining last week’s carryover emergencies Matty Parker and Bailey Rice.

In VFL news, Jack Steven will line up for Sandringham in what will be his first game of football since Round 6.

Check back into saints.com.au from 5pm this Friday to view the final team.
