St Kilda midfielder Jack Steven has been fined for striking Western Bulldogs midfielder Marcus Bontempelli in Saturday’s loss at Etihad Stadium.
The Match Review Panel assessed the incident as intentional conduct with low impact to the body.
The incident was classified as a $1500 sanction, but the fine can be reduced to $1000 with an early guilty plea.
St Kilda has until Tuesday to make a decision.
